200 Hour Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training

Program Dates for 2020: September 18th – November 5th

Immerse yourself in the study and practice of yoga during this 7 week training in the Canadian coastal mountains ~ discover your true potential surrounded by the beauty of the forests and mountains. Our class cap of 19 students lead by two very experienced, skilled, and supportive teachers will ensure a high quality experience with an emphasis on personal and professional development as a yoga teacher.

 

  • Curriculum

    As a registered yoga school our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training program offers a curriculum based on the guidelines issued by Yoga Alliance, the leading organization representing the global yoga community. 

    Our curriculum has an intense focus in technique training, which is essential for new teachers. In addition, our program offers variety in many areas to ensure authentic Yoga programming. Our small class sizes ensure all students receive detailed critique and feedback in order to gain the skills to become a knowledgeable and effective teacher.

    • Anatomy & Physiology (in relation to Yoga Asana)

All titles are available to order and pick-up from Armchair Books (a local bookstore in Whistler a block away from the studio). We suggest ordering them in advance and having them available for pick-up in-store.

 

Other Purchases:

  • please bring a Neti Pot and Neti Pot salt (regular salt will not work) both are available on Amazon and at most drugstores

Restorative Yoga Teacher Training

Program Dates for 2021 TBA

The 38-Hour Restorative Yoga Teacher Training program is truly for everyone. With a class cap of 19 you’ll receive plenty of personal attention from Emily, your lead restorative teacher trainer, ensuring that you walk away with refined skills as a restorative teacher. This program is registered with Yoga Alliance: with completion of the program you will receive certification that will apply towards continuing education for those who are currently yoga teachers. Students who are not presently 200 hour teachers may also apply given they would like to use the skills from this program to enhance their personal or professional life.

In this program you will learn:

  • deep experiential knowledge to speak and teach from a place of authenticity
  • a firm understanding of why the practice of restorative is essential
  • how to hold space for students to create deep relaxation and healing
  • pranayama and meditations that compliment a restorative practice
  • how to use props intelligently to create a truly supportive practice
  • the skilled use of gentle hands-on adjustments
  • a keen discernment of ethical principles (yoga and westernized approaches)
  • a comprehension of the anatomical and physiological elements of each shape
  • energetic and spiritual philosophy to complement the shapes and practice itself

  • caregivers, health practitioners, school teachers, and counselors that are looking to learn a deeply therapeutic style of yoga to share with their clients, patients, and loved ones

Yin Yoga Teacher Training

Dive deep into the practice of yin yoga. Enjoy a blissful gathering to study, practice, learn, and connect. The lessons gained from this program will uplift and inspire; whether it’s in your own life or the lives you touch. A 19 student cap will ensure you receive expert instruction from Andrea, our lead yin teacher trainer. Our school is recognized through Yoga Alliance—this program is valid for continuing education.
