Foundations of Restorative Yoga
- January 7, 2025
- 7pm - 9pm
The Foundations of Restorative Yoga Workshop series offers you the tools to be confident in your restorative yoga practice.
Each week starts with a short 10 – 15 minute lecture followed by a 1 hour and 30 minute restorative practice then finishing with questions and reflections.
Week 1: Intention of Restorative Yoga – January 7th
Learn the what, why, and how behind this practice so you can feel confident in the studio and at home. You may have already felt the difference in restorative yoga, now you can uncover what’s led to that bliss.
Week 2: Meditation as Medicine – January 14th
Understand the inner workings of meditation, pranayama, and how these practices can take your experience to new heights. Both new and seasoned meditation practitioners will have valuable take-aways from this week.
Week 3: Understanding the Self – January 21st
Discover how you can adapt your practice for any challenges you might face. In this week, we reflect on how we can show up whole-heartedly through a lens of self-worth and compassion.
Week 4: Putting It All Together – January 28th
This week we discuss how energy can play into your practice and how to guide your attention to where it’s needed most. In our practice, you’ll be led through a journey of the chakras and we will end with tips for any studio or home practices.
Students joining all 4 weeks will receive a copy of Emily’s book, “The Energy and Art of Restorative Yoga” which contains the guiding principles of this workshop series. This book is also recommended for single workshop attendees and will be available for purchase at the studio. Bringing a notebook is also suggested.
Emily Kane is passionate about making yoga accessible and encouraging her students to go deeper than the asana (aka postures). Ultimately, she sees yoga as a vehicle that can help you live an inspired life. As a practitioner of 20+ years, a teacher for 12+, and leading trainings locally and abroad, she brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and light-heartedness to her teaching. Her background as a Kinesiolgist (BKin) gives her a unique perspective on injuries, healing, and creating a truly inclusive practice.

August New Moon Yoga Nidra
- August 4, 2024
- 6:15pm – 7:15pm
A New Moon is a perfect time to practice Yoga Nidra embracing trust, release, and completion before the next energetic cycle begins. We will move through asana (poses) and pranayama (breathing techniques) to prepare the body for stillness. Our Yoga Nidra journey starts by finding a supportive position to explore and nurture a place of deep rest with trace awareness. Through this contemplative practice, we yoke the mind, body, and spirit to create conscious connection, deep relaxation and rejuvenation.
Heidi is a heart-centered instructor whose practices are grounding and supportive, offering space for playful exploration. She embraces an active lifestyle, hiking year-round, cold dipping, and shredding the mountain with her daughter. Together, they mindfully live on the unceded lands of the Sk̲wx̲wú7mesh Lil̓wat7úl peoples. Don’t miss this opportunity to embark on a transformative journey while learning, growing, and thriving under her compassionate guidance.
